State Treasurer David Damschen and Salt Lake County Treasurer Wayne Cushing talk to Bill Arnone, CEO of the National Academy of Social Insurance, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization made up of the nation's leading experts on social insurance. Its mission is to advance solutions to challenges facing the nation by increasing public understanding of how social insurance (Social Security, Medicare, Unemployment Insurance and Workers’ Compensation) contributes to economic security.

Damschen and Cushing then talk to San Juan County Commissioner Bruce Adams to learn what PILT and SRS are, why Utah County Commissioners were in D.C. this past week meeting with members of Congress to discuss these programs, and what they mean to rural Utah.
