State Auditor John Dougall and Salt Lake County Councilwoman Aimee Winder Newton learn from State Treasurer David Damschen about MyCash.utah.gov -- the site for lost and unclaimed property. Looking for some extra holiday cash? See whether Treasurer Damschen is holding any of your long-lost money at MyCash.utah.gov.

Newton talks with Dougall and Lieutenant Governor Spencer Cox about their recent humanitarian relief mission (Light Up Puerto Rico) to the hurricane-devastated island of Puerto Rico. Dougall and Cox reported on the property destruction and how life is far from normal. They estimated 90% of the stop lights they saw weren't functional and the struggles of life without clean, running water and working electricity.

Dougall and Cox talk about providing relief supplies like food, water, diapers, hygiene products, and solar-powered lights and generators, They discuss deploying tents to folks who have been living without roofs for 2 months, in a locale where it rains almost every day. Cox and Dougall shared how the trip touched their lives.

We appreciate Red Meat Radio's generous sponsor, Gastronomy, and their delicious Market Street Grill restaurants.
