State Senator Todd Weiler and State Auditor John Dougall discuss State Senator Dan Hemmert’s bill to begin phasing out the USTAR Initiative. Dougall highlights key flaws in the initial legislation while Weiler discusses the previous restructuring attempt and the changes the legislature passed this session. Weiler makes the case how the hundreds of millions of dollars failed to deliver the economic development expected.

Weiler and Dougall then get an update from State Representative Steve Eliason. Eliason passed 16 bills and focused significant effort on addressing the challenges of homelessness and youth suicide.
